Raiders are the Adventure team of JROTC. As a varsity level sport, we do a variety of different training activities, such as rope bridge, which is when an eight man team has to accomplish getting across an obstacle using a rope around two trees. Land navigation/map reading is an event in which you find your way through the woods to find certain points with a compass and learn how to use a topographical map. We also do first aid techniques and litter carry, where you run a certain distance with a simulated body on a stretcher. A big part of Raiders is the rigorous physical training required to accomplish these activities. PT (Physical Training) consists of push-ups, sit-ups, and running, but it doesn't stop there. If you are on the team you can receive the Raider tab for your uniform. Also you can recieve a black raider cord.
