South Forks cross country teams arrived on campus at 6:15am ready to race and win on their home course. The girls varsity team was the first race at 7:30 am and when the gun went off South Fork led the way.
Madeline Weiler cruised through the 3.1-mile race comfortably finishing in first place with a winning time of 21:52 (28 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher). Captains Erica Bunk and Brooke Hawkins, along with junior Kailee Hemann and Olivia O’hay rounded out the top five South Fork finishers and led the team to a dominating first-place finish! The varsity teams’ strong performance was nothing compared to the girls JV. South Fork runners placed first, second, third, fourth, and fifth combining for a perfect team score of 15.
