Boys Cross Country @ Flrunners.com Invitational

Cross Country had one of their biggest meets of the season at the Flrunners.com invitational on Saturday, the 28th of September. Senior Thomas Weiler continues to lead the team with an 8th place overall finish in a time of 16:18. Jarrod Hemann and Bradley Pinto rounded out the top 3 with 17:26 and 18:03 respectively. Other scoring runners for south fork were: Jack Burgener(18:12) and Eduardo Barragan(18:19). Overall this was solid performance for south fork and the post season continues to look positive for them.  Results posted here.

Boys Cross Country @ Pre-State Invitational

Cross Country competed at arguably their biggest meet of the season at the Pre-State invitational on Saturday, October 12th. Thomas Weiler lead the team with a 15:43 personal record and new school record. Bradley Pinto finished second for south fork with a 17:43. Other scoring south fork runners were: Jack burgener(18:10), Kevin Ohrn(18:46), and Vince Zaccheo(19:03). Overall a decent team performance for south fork, highlighted by Thomas Weilers Personal and School record and Bradley Pinto’s 14 second Course-PR. Boys Cross Country @ Treasure Lake Conference

South Fork’s Cross Country had an outstanding performance at the Treasure Lake Conference meet on October 17, 2019. A very tactical race lead to the boy’s top 5 all finishing in the top 20. Thomas Weiler won overall with a time of 16:51, Bradley Pinto came in 4th with a time of 18:07, and Jack Burgener came in  9th with a time of 18:31. This was South Fork Cross Country’s first conference championship win.

Boys Cross Country 3-Peats at District meet!

South Fork boys Cross Country won their 3rd district title in a row on Saturday, November 2nd. It was a very close race for 1st in the team standings. South fork came out on top with a 1 point victory over a strong Dillard team. The team was led by senior Thomas Weiler with a first place overall finish. Bradley Pinto was the second runner for south fork with a third place overall finish. Other scoring runners were jack burgener (8th), Kevin Ohrn (11th), and Eduardo Barragan (16th). This puts the boys team in a very good position going into regionals, in which they are ranked 2nd. District results are linked below.

South Fork Boys Cross Country Finishes 3rd in Region!

The South Fork Boy’s Cross Country raced to the highest place they’ve ever scored at a regional championship. Placing third as a team, this was a great success for the boys. It was a very hot, humid, and wet morning at our own course. Thomas Weiler ran a very strategic race against Belen Jesuit’s Adam Magoulas. Thomas came in a close second with a time of 16:20. The rest of our top 5 ran with the second pack of runners with Bradley Pinto finishing in the top 15 with a time of 18:18. Eduardo Barragan came in third on the team with 18:29, Jack burgener came in fourth with 18:50, and Kevin Ohrn came in fifth with 18:58. They will be competing at the state level on Saturday, the ninth. Our boys are hopeful to finish in the top 20 in 3A after a very successful season.
